2015-2019

On the occasion of the reopening of the Frankenberg (Eder) – Korbach connection in 2015, the Kurhessenbahn once again held a 'bahn' festival. Numerous historic locomotives and train sets came in action. The secret star was the V160 002 "Lollo", which was only there as a replacement for the defective BR 64. But also the V65 001, 78 468 and the 'schienenbusse' got everyone excited. Credits: Lochris-Christian Zell

The railway line festival of the Kurhessenbahn 

At the 24th May 2016, a historic railcar ("Schienenbus", VT98) drove from Wittlich at the Moselle railway via Koblenz and Linz (East Rhine railway) to Kalenborn, the end of a small branch line. Credits: Lochris-Christian Zell

Travelling with the 'Wuppertaler Schwebebahn'

The Dillingen - Niedaltdorf - Bouzonville route is operated by DB Regio on the German side. Although the route is continuously passable, there are cross-border trains only on special occasions, for example to the Good Friday market in Bouzonville (France). In 2019, the weather was perfect on this day, a BR 628 double traction was used. The vehicles were actually replaced by Desiros on the last timetable change. To top it off, an additional pair of trains was driven in the evening because there were a lot of passengers. Credits: Lochris-Christian Zell
