Steam locomotives in action in New South Wales. A variety of locos captured on both the mainline and a heritage branch in Australia. This series contains rare footage of the biggest annual Australian steam events, including the Hunter Valley Steamfest Train Race 2019, Sydney’s Great Steam Train Races of 2017 and 2019 (captured from both trains!) and the Thirlmere Festival of Steam 2019.
Most of the heritage steam locomotives in this series were built in the first half of the 20th century by manufacturers like Beyer, Peacock and Company (including the Garratt 6029), the Eveleigh Railway Workshops and others. As a bonus, we visit an amazing collection of retired rolling stock at the Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum.
