French 141R steam locomotives on Swiss tracks

The 141R is a series of steam locomotives of the 'Mikado' type that was built in the United States and Canada. They were delivered to the SNCF, the French railways, as part of the 'Lend-Lease' program after the Second World War. A total of 1340 locomotives were built and served until 1974. Thankfully, some steam locomotives have been preserved and the 568 and 1244 ended up with Swiss associations.

In this two-part series images of steam journeys that this locomotive made in Switzerland in 2022.
