This eight-part series contains more than 1 hour of authentic images from the archive of a train spotter from Germany. The recordings were made in the late 1980s and 1990s. That is why there are still footages from the GDR time. Steam locomotives were mainly filmed and as an added bonus there is a sound recording. 80'ies

Video showing the German narrow gauge locomotives 99 5901, 99 6001 and 99 7244 in action. After the 67 092 with 2 locomotives BR 99.72 was delivered in Hasselfelde and in the thermal power station Silberhütte, further spots were spotted in the Selketal without any knowledge of the place and timetable (internet was not born then). The 50 622 and 93 1332 on the Regentalbahn on May 6, 1989. The 2nd Bayerwald tour of the DB, the German railways, with:

<li>in the forest behind Blaibach (dismantled)</li>
<li>in Viechtach through the granite factory</li>
<li>continue in Deggendorf</li>
<li>on the main line behind Plattling and before Regensburg</li>
<li>Departure in Beratzhausen</li>

90'ies

First scenes on the main line to Dresden - still with double telegraph poles and then on the narrow gauge line to Radeburg. In between then station vote in Radebeul Ost with the 99 1791 and 99 1794. Credits: Karl Bönisch

From Bautzen to Radeburg - 19.5.1990

Scenes from steam rides 21 st to 24th February 1991 of the legendary machine. Above all with express trains that were still heavy at the time over the mountain, but also with light passenger trains. Credits: Karl Bönisch

Heavy service for the steam locomotive 41 1231

The steam locomotive was probably brought here because of damage from the train to Innsbruck on December 2, 1995. The following Saturday it drove back to Mühldorf am Inn. Credits: Karl Bönisch
