An HO scale Norfolk and Western "Jawn Henry" steam turbine hauls a long coal train through the mountains of West Virginia on the North Shore Model Railway Club layout. This model, built in 1982 by Alco Models,was slightly customized. In real this locomotive was built in 1954 and had a length of more than 161 feet (49 meters). Weathered N&W Y6B with Powerful Sound

Mechanical upgrades and DCC installation completed on an Alco Models model train in brass. The model is the 1979 N&amp;W Steam Turbine &lsquo;Jawn Henry&rsquo;. The running gear was improved, the motor was upgraded and almost 4 pounds of extra weight was added for more pulling power. With around 3.5 miles (5.6 km) of track, the Brick Mountain Railroad is one of the largest private ridable miniature railroads in the US. Enjoy a ride on two of the three main line routes as well as chasing a 38-car freight around this massive testament to one man's passion for trains. The railroad, which is built in a mix of 7.5" and 15" gauge has been under construction since 2003 and features dozens of full size functional signals and crossing gates, massive trestles, and recreations of real bridges and tunnels.
