Spotting the mythical Swiss 'Crocodile' locomotive

The class CE 6/8, nicknamed "Crocodile", is a mythical locomotive. The production of this electric locomotive started in 1917 in Switzerland. It was built by the Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works (SLM) and ‘Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon’. The locomotive was designed for the steep railway tracks on the Gotthard Railway. It has a long front and back which resembles to a crocodile hence the nickname. In this three-part series we can see special rides of this locomotive from 2015 and 2019 on the Gotthard railway. It is beautiful to see this locomotive working in this beautiful setting!
