The magnificent Lötschberg Railway (CH)

The Lötschberg railway is an important railway connection in Switzerland and Europe. This beautiful mountain railway was opened in 1913. In 2007 the new Lötschberg base tunnel was opened and many passenger trains no longer run via the old mountain railway line. However, much freight traffic continued to run on the "old" mountain railway. In the 5 episodes of this series we see many trains passing by on this beautiful mountain railway. The videos were made in winter and summer and the beautiful mountain world around the railway completes the picture.
