Tram spotting in Utrecht & Amsterdam

In this six-part series, trams can be seen in the Dutch cities Amsterdam and Utrecht. The so-called 'trapkarren' (=pedal carts) can be seen in Amsterdam, which were definitively taken out of service in June 2021. Also on display are the new trams on line 25 (the Amstelveen line).

In Utrecht, the Uithoflijn was opened in 2019 and this line is served by trams built by the Spanish CAF (the Urbos 1000). On the other Utrecht tram line, the SUN line (Express tram Utrecht-Nieuwegein), the so-called 'SIG' trams went out of service in the summer of 2020. There are still recordings of these trams and there is a nice compilation to see!
