Steam through a winter wonderland: The Waldeisenbahn Muskau

Bright blue skies, fresh glistening snow and beautiful narrow gauge steam locomotives, what more could you want? It is an idyllic setting that seems to have come straight from a Christmas card. In this four-part series, 24Trains.tv takes you on a trip on the Waldeisenbahn Muskau (Muskau Forest Railway) in the German state of Saxony.

This former industrial railway, with a track gauge of 600 mm, connects Kromlau, Weißwasser and Bad Muskau. It is, with a length of 20 km, the longest museum railway in Germany in this category.
