The Nevada Northern Railway's annual winter photo shoot featuring the 4-6-0 #40 and 2-8-0 #93 steamed up and pulling various trains for the attendees can be seen as well.

Sumpter Valley Railroad

D&amp;SNG No. 473 is an outside-frame K-28 class 2-8-2 &ldquo;Mikado&rdquo; type narrow gauge steam locomotive. It was built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO)&rsquo;s Schenectady, NY works in 1923 for the Denver &amp; Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&amp;RGW).&nbsp;It was part of an order for ten locomotives that would become the K-28 class.
The K-28s served across the D&amp;RGW&rsquo;s 3ft gauge system, in both passenger, and freight service. Today the 473 can be seen in action at the Durango &amp; Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&amp;SNG) in Durango (Colorado) as a museum heritage steam locomotive.
