24Trains.tv travels on the Rigi Railway

24Trains visited the Rigi Railway in Switzerland and made this report. We travelled on this rack railway from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm station. This station is located at 1,752 m altitude and is located just below the top of the Rigi. The Rigi Railway is the highest normal gauge railway (1435 mm) in Europe. The Rigi Railway is equipped with a cogwheel system of the Riggenbach type. Niklaus Riggenbach was also one of the builders of the line, which he did as early as 1871. The view from the top is breath-taking!
