Part 3: From Coblence to Kaub

In this third part, after several trains at the Koblenz Hauptbahnhof station, we take you into the Rhine valley, this time along the right bank, towards the town of Kaub.

After the Oberlahnstein railway yard, we drive through the winding Rhine valley with several small station buildings along the track. Baureihe 143 is the workhorse here in the local train services.

At Kaub station you can enjoy various slow trains and freight trains through the partly snowy Rhine valley. Snow-covered vineyards, castles and historic buildings form a beautiful backdrop for the various trains.

After Kaub we travel to the town of Sankt Goarshausen, near the Loreley. Here we see various types of trains in an imposing landscape with slate rocks and historic buildings.

Towards the evening we travel back to Koblenz Hauptbahnhof, on the other bank of the Rhine. BR 612 as trains pulled by BR 101, BR 181.2, BR 120, and BR 143. We conclude with a night train to Innsbruck.
