Part 2: From Andermatt to St. Moritz - Dutch version
This is the second part of our travel report of the anniversary tour we made to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Glacier Express. We travel from Andermatt to St. Moritz. The balcony locomotive 36 with 1250 hp power pulls our train over the OberAlp pass.
In Disentis a Crocodile locomotive from the Rhaetian Railway takes over the traction for the last part of our journey to St. Moritz. On the way there we pass several winding tunnels and the world famous Landwasser viaduct. This ingenious structure is the icon of the Rhaetian Railway. At the end, we go up to enjoy the impressive Swiss mountain landscape at an altitude of almost 3000 meters.
