In this exclusive film, specially edited for 24Trains.tv, we take you to the north of the Netherlands. The train traffic of the late 1980s is central through nostalgic footage.

In 1987, the ‘Wadloper’ was of course the train type that provided local train services in the Northeast of the Netherlands. These diesel trains, built by the German Duwag, were typical for Groningen and Friesland.

In April 1989, the classic signals disappeared on the Groningen - Nieuweschans route section, reason for Trainstorm to film this type of signals a last time.
