In this episode we see how the first TGV, a French highspeed train, was made. Development and construction started in the '60ies and this prototype, with a gas turbine as power source, was finished in 1969 for testing. During the oil crises in the seventies it was decided that TGV would run on electric power instead of gas turbines.
