N&W Coal Train in Miniature: Power and Nostalgia from the 1950s

This Norfolk and Western Railway coal train, pulled by a Class A 2-6-6-4 steam locomotive, with a Y6B 2-8-8-2 as a helper and another Y6B as a pusher, is a striking representation of the trains that headed east from Roanoke, Virginia, in the 1950s.

This impressive train is reproduced in miniature on the HO layout at the North Shore Model Railroad Club in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
