Rail Away 16: Switzerland - Lauterbrunnen - Wengen - Kleine Scheidegg (Dutch)

Starting point is Lauterbrunnen. We will travel with the The Wengern Alp Railway (WAB) over the longest narrow-rack railway in the world which is over 19 kilometres. Many tourists can reach the car-free village of Wengen via the WAB. All goods are also transported from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen by train. In Wengen we disembark to see a demonstration of avalanche rescue dogs. Further up to Wengernalp we see many skiers and sledge riders which take the train. The central point of many winter sports activities is Kleine Scheidegg at an altitude of over 2000 meters and the end of this episode. In the midst of imposing mountain giants such as the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau, we get off the train. The many travellers who came up on skis and sleds in the train, can go back down here on their own.

This version is Dutch spoken.
