Retro weekend at Lake Balaton - 2021

The MÁV class 424 is a famous class of Hungarian steam locomotives. Between 1924 and 1958 a total of 514 locomotives were built by the Hungarian manufacturer MAVAG.
Also diesel locomotives were in action, like for example the M62, with the nick name ‘Taiga trommel’. This locomotive was built in the Soviet-Union and more than 5000 locomotives were delivered to several ex COMECON countries (the former union of communist countries) and also to Hungary.
