Join us for visit to Roaring Camp, a 1880’s logging town in the Santa Cruz mountains of California where beautifully restored steam locomotives take tourists on a 5 kilometer ride through red wood forest to Bear Mountain. Main attraction is Dixiana or ‘Dixie’, a Shay locomotive discovered (in very bad condition) by Roaring Camp’s founder F. Norman Clark in 1958. Other heritage steam locs and detailed background information complete this heritage experience.
