"Rola" shuttle services from the SBB
This video from 2001 is from the archives of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and has the title “Rollande autobahn” also abbreviated as “Rola” (rollande landstrasse). These are special trains on which trucks can be loaded. We see these “rola” shuttle services of the SBB from the beginning to the end. In Switzerland, these services are mainly intended to reduce the intensive freight traffic by truck through the Alpine country with the aim of limiting the environmental damage.
