24Trains.tv is an online streaming platform. We curate and collect the best magazines, videos, books, documentaries, series and travel reports on trains and make sure that train aficionados worldwide can see them on their smartphone, tablet, laptop and TV. On 24Trains.tv you can enjoy videos, movies, magazines, DVDs and books via online streaming. Streaming is a way of playing files without having to save them first. This means that you don't have to wait until the video has been downloaded. You can start watching right away.

How much does a subscription cost?

You can choose from a monthly, 6-month or annual subscription.

Annual subscription
A year’s subscription costs 99.50 per year, with you looking for free for 2 months in the first year.

Half-year subscription
A 6-month subscription costs 49.75, which allows you to watch 1 month for free during the first 6 months.

Monthly subscription
There is a 9.95 monthly fee for the monthly subscription, which allows you to watch the first 2 weeks for free.

Both the 6-month and annual subscription will be converted into a monthly subscription for an indefinite period of time after completion of the contract period. For this, a maximum 1-month cancellation period will be applied by 24Trains.tv.

1 - Click on your name in the top-right corner
2 - Open the drop-down menu
3 - Click on 'Logout'

How do I change my password?

You can change your password on your profile page

4 - Click on the 'Change Password' button
5 - Change your password and save it

How do I pay for my subscription
24Trains.tv accepts the most commonly used payment methods such as iDEAL and credit cards. Our payment transactions are operated via Adyen, a safe and world-renowned payment provider. We use direct debit. If you choose to stay on as a subscriber, the fees will be automatically withdrawn on a monthly basis.
How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your 24Trains.tv subscription online at any time: 

1 - Log in on 24Trains.tv
2 - Go to your profile page by clicking on your name in the top-right corner
3 - Select 'profile' from the drop-down menu
4 - Click on the 'unsubscribe' button behind the renewal date of your subscription

It is mandatory to use the above-mentioned method for making cancellations. Canceling via email is not legally valid.

Gifting a subscription

Gifting 24Trains to another train enthusiast is very easy:

1 - Visit the 24Trains homepage
2 - Scroll all the way down
3 - In the 'Subscriptions' section you will find the 'Gift 24Trains.tv'
4 - Click on the pictogram and follow the steps as described in 'How do I subscribe?'

Can I also watch 24Trains.tv on my regular TV?
We do not broadcast via mainstream TV providers. You can, however, connect your PC or laptop to your television or enjoy 24Trains.tv on your TV via Chromecast and AirPlay.
How do I watch 24Trains.tv on my TV via Chromecast?

24Trains.tv can be watched on your television via Chromecast. We recommend streaming via an Android device and using a Google Chrome browser. The Cast icon can be found in the bottom-right corner of the video player.

Using Airplay or Chromecast depends on the device and the web browser you're using. 24Trains doesn't install any software on your phone or tablet. 

24Trains is a (mobile) website that uses any functionality that is avaliable on your device, the web browser you are using or a combination of both. This means, for instance

  • An Apple iPhone of iPad with Safari only offers Airplay, so the only option you have is casting via Airplay
  • A Samsung that runs on Google Android only offers you Google Chromecast, so casting is possible via Chromecast. 

The way you cast 24Trains to your television depends on your device and the web browser you are using.  

On how many devices can I watch at the same time?
You can watch 24Trains on one device at a time. You can log in from any location with internet and play the videos. Our service remembers where you left off in the video, so that you can easily resume your viewing from any location.
How do I redeem a a 24Trains.tv voucher

Redeeming your 24Trains voucher is very easy

1 - Visit the 24Trains.tv homepage
2 - Scroll all the way down
3 - In the 'Subscriptions' section you will find the option 'I have a voucher'. Click on the pictogram
4 - Fill in you voucher code and follow the steps

The system claims my voucher is invalid
Some vouchers, like discounts and special offers, have limited validity. Before using it, check to see if your voucher is still valid. When you are quite sure that your voucher is valid, but it is refused nonetheless, please send us a message. Do not forget to attach the corresponding voucher, so that we can check it for you.
Where can I find information about new programs?

What are Suggestions?
When you have finished watching a video, 24Trains will automatically suggest a number of videos with similar subjects. Using Suggestions, we make watching 24Trains even easier and more fun for you.
How long will videos stay available on 24Trains.tv?
All videos will remain available for the duration of the contract period with the relevant content provider. We are continuously expanding our online streaming service's offerings. As long as your subscription is active, you can watch all our content, as often as you like.
Can I download or buy some of the content?
No, we are an online streaming service. This means that even though you can watch everything, it is impossible to save or download content.
Why can't I find my favorite train subject or train journey?
It is possible that your favorite subject is not yet available on 24Trains.tv. Our team is constantly working to obtain and develop new content. With your monthly contribution, you allow us to keep expanding 24Trains.tv's offerings. Do you have any suggestions for our selection? Please let us know and send us a message via the contact form.

How fast should my internet speed be?

The minimum bandwidth needed for SD and HD videos is 15 Mbps.
The image quality, however, depends on your internet speed: it should be as high as possible, as far as your connection allows. In other words, the faster your connection, the better the quality of the picture.
If your connection speed slows down, you can still keep watching; the player will automatically switch to a lower quality.

24Trains is available in the following levels of quality:
- Full HD 4 Mbit/s for 'Chromecasting' on a television
- HD 2.5 Mbit/s for desktops, laptops and tablets
- SD 1 Mbit/s for mobiles and tablets with 4G
- 0,5 Mbit/s for mobiles with 3G or 4G

Why do I have to pay € 0,02 for my free subscription?

To ensure that the subscription is made in the name of the correct person, verification is important. Your name and bank account must match the correct details. To verify your name and bank account, we therefore ask you to pay 2 cent via iDeal. This is a requirement for identification. In this way we can ensure both your and our safety.
