Ashland in Central Virginia, United States, is located on the CSX RF&P Subdivision, the former Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad. It is about 15 miles north of Richmond.

The town gets over 20 Amtrak passenger trains and +/- 20 to 25 CSX freight trains daily.  The maximum speed for trains passing through the town's centre is 35 miles per hour (56 km p/h).
