Christmas in Colorado - 2018
The Colorado woodland scenery is a perfect backdrop for the steam locomotive we are looking at in this series. Especially now that it's wintertime!
In part 1 we take a look at a stormy December afternoon where our D&RGW 2-8-2 #481, lettered for the 'Polar Express', leads the Cascade Canyon Winter Train on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
Part 2 of this series will focus on the day after the storm, as #481 bravely races up the Animas River valley the next morning to continue her journey and give us a great watch.
