A cab ride in Slovenia - From Velenje to Celje

The non-electrified local railway between the Celje and Velenje in Slovenia was once part of the Lavanttal Railway which connected Austria with Slovenia. The part between Celje and Velenje was constructed to connect the coal mines of Velenje. The railway line was opened on the 27th December 1891.

In this cab ride, made during the summer, you can enjoy this beautiful Slovenian railway line from the cab of the train driver.
