Episode 1: The First Day – 8 November 2014
On the first day at Rongshan, we caught up with the two working C2 0-8-0 locos Nos. 211 and 219 at Yujiabian the prison mine at the end of the railway where they went to take coal. In the afternoon, No, 219 was due to take flat wagons up to Yujiabian to be loaded with mine salvage but the management agreed to add a few empty coal wagons and a caboose so we could photograph a decent length train uphill and also ride the train back down to Rongshan.
On the way back, at Shanziba the already-closed newer mine in the middle of the line, the loco picked up more empty coal wagons to move down to Rongshan.
