The ‘Ferrocarril de Soller’in Mallorca

Are you thinking about summer? Then you quickly think of a sun-drenched bay in the Mediterranean Sea, cozy terraces and of course a train or a tram. All these ingredients for a fun summer trip can be found in Spain, on the largest island of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca.

On Mallorca you have the 'Ferrocarril de Sóller', the railway company that has operated the railway between Palma and Sóller since April 14, 1912. The railway was built with a track gauge of three English feet, which corresponds to 914 mm. The line is electrified with 1200 volts DC.

They also operate the tram line Sóller – Port de Sóller.
